Benefits of insulation;

  • Reduced damp

  • Reduced energy bills

  • Reduced carbon footprint

  • Increased value of your property

  • Increased EPC Rating

Roof & Loft Insulation

25% of your home's heat escapes through your loft or roof. Loft insulation is one of the easiest types of insulation to install, as it usually just involves rolling a layer of insulation across your loft space. If you have a flat roof, you can have an insulation unit installed on top of your roof with a weather proof material on top.

The UK government recommends every home has 270 mm of loft or roof insulation.

Cavity Wall Insulation

If your home was made after the 1930s, most likely, you will have a cavity wall. A cavity wall is an air gap in between your two external walls. There are various methods to fill the cavity, such as; microbeads, foam and Celotex boards.

35% of your homes heat is lost through the walls, so filling your home's cavities will make a huge difference.

Internal & External Wall Insulation

If you have an old home, most likely, you will have solid external walls. Solid external walls loose heat quicker than cavity walls, as they are in direct contact with the outside climate. Insulating a solid wall involves adding a layer of Celotex to the existing wall and then plastering over the Celotex leaving it decoration ready.

If you have a traditional property, or a listed building, you may not want to/be able to have external wall insulation, as it will change the appearance of the outside of your property. As a result, internal wall insulation will be the best option for you. The only difference is that you will add the insulation to any external walls from the inside of the property.
